Traveling Soles at the Jeanne Rauch Gallery

This is the poster that Gaston College prepared for the
Traveling Soles exhibit, now showing at the Jeanne Rauch
Gallery in NC.  I am pleased to see my piece featured:

Some images from the opening:

To Their Watery Graves

This is my second interpretation of the theme Travelling Souls.
As I had mentioned in an earlier post, the images just would not let go of me
so I had to keep working through another piece.

Traveling Soles at the Jeanne Rauch Gallery

I've had the pleasure of being invited to participate in an art exhibit for which
the theme is any interpretation of "Traveling Soles."

I chose to exercise poetic and phonetic license (with the curators' blessing)
by interpreting the idea as Travelling Souls and, thus, this piece was born.

The image has been seared in my mind for years; I only hope I did it justice.

Centralia
 41"h x 59"w

On the way home from Spoon River, I visited the desolate town
of Centralia.  My new imaginary city is done.
New residents are moving in. Applications are still open.
